同益棧 Tung Yick Store 

同益棧早在1899年前落成，是唯一現存的清代客棧。舊日的元朗舊墟商業活動繁盛，聚集不少商店，吸引各商旅前往此地進行貿易，所以同益棧正是用作為長途商人提供住宿的地方。這家旅館樓高兩層，以青磚堆砌，正立面上的壁畫和牌匾仍完整保留，別具重要的歷史價值。早在2010年被列為香港一級歷史建築，儘管不能進內參觀，但仍能透過其外型了解清代建築特色

 

It was the only existing Qing dynasty inn, and it was established before 1899. The Yuen Long Old Market's commercial activities were prosperous, gathering several types of shops and attracting many merchants to trade. Therefore, Tung Yick Store provided a

residential need for those long distant merchants. The store is a two-store building constructed of green bricks, which has been listed as “Grade I historic building in Hong Kong” since 2010. Although we cannot visit the interior part of the inn, we can still appreciate its architectural styles.
