Lee Yim Kee Flower Shop

During the 1950s to 1980s, the flower plaque industry flourished, and flower plaques could be seen everywhere, whether in celebration of festivals, advertising and promotions, openings, or anniversaries. However, with the rise of plastic advertising lightboxes and changes in the marketing strategies of management companies, the flower plaque business and industry development have also been affected.
In recent years, Lee Yim Kee Flower Shop has actively developed indoor flower plaques, hoping to let more people understand the functions and significance of flower plaques. At the same time, this has also broken through the traditional limitations of space and difficulties in applying for construction permits for flower plaque setups. In addition, the flower board crafting technique was inscribed on the list of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Hong Kong in 2014.
