Chapter 4: My Little Brother’s Diary of Running Errands

28th September, 1963

Our family’s clothing industry is becoming more flourishing than before. The fabric stock in our home became empty in a blink. Yet, my brother has grown up a lot. In the beginning, he was unwilling to run errands for me. However, as time passed, he became obedient to running errands for our family business.

Today, after I finished housework, I went to buy fabric with my brother. After all, the fabric is heavy. It is necessary to have a strong man to share the responsibility with me! During the journey, I discovered that my brother had become manly, and the cruel fire disasters had passed for ten years. Time flies; this is our tenth year living in Mei Ho House……

I teased my brother all the way, and the one-kilometre journey ended. In front of me is the place I am familiar with, Ki Lung Street.
